Stella Artois voluntarily recalls several of its popular beers after discovering that some of them might contain “particles of glass.”

The recall is over Stella Artois' six packs, 12-packs, 18-packs, 24-packs, "Best of Belgium" multi-packs in the United States and Canada. They are also recalling "Legere" 6-packs and 12-packs in the United States.

Stella Artois said that the affected 11.2-ounce bottles were produced by a third party manufacturing partner.

“The safety of our consumers is our top priority. While the number of potentially-affected glass bottles is very small, we are recalling these Stella Artois packages as a precautionary measure,” said Christina Choi, Global Brand VP of Stella Artois.

“Our team of technical experts has been working with our third-party glass bottle supplier to ensure this packaging flaw has been addressed," she continued.

Stella Artois believes that the total number of potentially affected beer bottles are less than 1% of the glass bottles sold in North America annually.

If you are wondering if you have an affected six- or 12-pack, you can check out their website for more information.

If you have purchased one that is listed on the recall, customers will be fully reimbursed. Stella Artois strongly recommends not to consume the potentially affected product.
