Recall Alert: These Car Seats Might Not Protect Your Child

As a parent or grandparent, you have to trust that the supplies you use to keep your child safe. You can read reviews online and ask your friends, but at some point, you have to trust that they’ve done the proper tests and will keep your child safe.

One car seat manufacturer recently announced that they would be recalling over 500,000 car seats. They ran tests and found that the car seats did not hold up to their testing.

The seats that will be recalled are Diono’s Radian R100, Radian R120, Radian RXT, Olympia, Pacifica, and Rainier seats. They have stated that 100% of the car seats are expected to have issues.

According to documents, the problem arises when children over 65 pounds are harnessed without the top tether. There is an increased risk of chest injury in a crash.

The company has no reports of injuries from this defect, as the car seats are used primarily for children under 65 pounds. This issue was found in company testing.
