There has been some terrible news that came in. A famous actress is lucky to be alive after crashing into a concrete wall on Wednesday.
On July 18, Roxanne Pallett was traveling at high speeds during a stock car race Wednesday afternoon when her car crashed into a concrete wall. The 35-year-old actress blacked out and was unconscious for 30 seconds, according to The Sun.
The race was held at Hunmanby Raceway near Scarborough, Yorks. It took firefighters nearly two hours to cut her out from the mangled vehicle. Once she was freed from the wreckage, she was airlifted 41 miles to Hull Royal Infirmary.
"She tried to overtake Ben [Fry] on a bend and was traveling too fast and smashed into the concrete wall on the track," a witness told The Sun. "She lost consciousness for about 30 seconds on impact. Fortunately, she was wearing a helmet and race gear."
Pallett is still waiting for her CT scan results. She did suffer from severe bruising and has two sprained wrists. We do not know if there are any further injuries at this time.
Pallett is best known for her role as Jo Stiles in "Emmerdale" from 2005 to 2008. Today she co-hosts with Fry on their Minster FM breakfast show to promote the upcoming event, Outlaw Gold Top Shootout, on August 11.
Will you join us in praying for her recovery?
