What wonderful a story! This exciting news about the royal baby is having royal fans talking non-stop.
Sweden's Princess Madeleine and her husband, Christopher O'Neill, welcomed their third child. While the baby arrived in March, they are planning a big event next month! The sweet baby will be christened!
The Swedish Royal Court released a statement about the newborn saying that she is "a healthy child," who weighed 7.6 pounds and measured 19.7 inches long at birth. They went on to say that the mother and baby were doing well.
"We are delighted with the new addition to our family," Christopher said, who stood by his wife's side at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm.
“Leonore and Nicolas have their long-awaited sibling,” he said in a statement. “They can’t wait to meet their new baby sister.”
The happy couple has decided to name their daughter Princess Adrienne. She will be christened on June 8 at a Swedish Lutheran Church, as expected by King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia.
Princess Madeleine and Christopher have two other children together. There is 4-year-old Princess Leonore, who was delivered at a private hospital in New York, and their 2-year-old Prince Nicolas, who was delivered at Stockholm's Danderyd Hospital.
The couple hinted last year that they wanted another baby. They have always envisioned a large family.
“We want to have more children. Both of us want a big family,” Christopher said. “One or two more in future, absolutely!”
