The day is finally here! Prince William and Duchess Kate Middleton are excited to announce some wonderful news!
The royal baby has arrived!
Many of us have been watching the couple like a hawk when April rolled around after the terrific news that they were expecting baby number three. Plus, neither one of them revealed Kate's due date.
Kensington Palace announced Monday morning the news and the Internet is going wild.
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101 hrs,” the statement said. “The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth.”
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news,” the statement continued. “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
According to PEOPLE, 4-year-old Prince George was at school and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte, who will be 3 years old in May, was at home.
The name of the new prince has not yet been released. However, Prince William may have accidentally revealed the baby's name a couple of weeks ago at a sporting event. Prince Jack, anyone?
Jack would be an unlikely choice for the Royal family. According to Britain oddsmakers, the most popular names were Albert at 5-1, and Arthur at 9-1.
The new prince was born at St. Mary's Hospital in London as was George and Charlotte. The Duchess was admitted to the hospital at 6 a.m. (U.K. time) Monday morning.
We are excited to see the new baby and photos of the entire family together. Join us in praying for the family and join us in congratulating the wonderful couple! Check out the video below to see how the soon-to-be parents (again) met!
In other news, two heroes stopped a school shooting last week, but no one heard about it! Will you join us in thanking these heroes?
