According to reports, a man had been stalking Bullock for several days in 2014, lurking outside her Beverly Hills home. Then one day in June, he decided to break in.
The intruder, known as Joshua Corbett, jumped her barbed wire fence and began ringing the doorbell for about 10 to 15 minutes before he broke in through the sunroom door.
Bullock noticed the man walk by her bedroom door toward her attic. This gave Bullock time to get herself locked inside her panic room. There inside, she called the police. You can listen to the 9-1-1 call below.
When she was on the phone with the police, she was able to guide them through the gates of her home, through the house to her location. The police secured her home and had arrested Corbett.
Investigators found a two-page letter on Corbett. The letter was written the day before of him professing his love for Bullock, even calling her his wife. Police even found a 25-page spiral notebook full of details on Bullock, even his perception of their relationship.
The police later found an extensive weapons arsenal in his home including machine guns. The judge is charging him with 19 felony counts including first-degree burglary, stalking, and possession of a machine gun. Corbett pled not guilty and the bail was set at $2.2 million.
