Famous TV Actress and Husband Reveal Their Baby's 'Illegal' Name After Months of Secrecy

June 24, 2018

Just recently, Tessa James and her husband, Nate Myles, finally revealed the name of their son who they had back in February.

The former "Home and Away" actress and her NRL player husband have settled on a name that reportedly had been illegal until they changed just one letter in the name.

It's likely that the couple got the inspiration from Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, whose son is named Saint. The Aussie couple decided to go with the same name.

Unfortunately, in Australia, that name is illegal. According to Business Insider's 2017 report, there are approximately 46 names that are illegal to choose from.

The Victorian government released a long "list of baby names that are prohibited under 'Births, Deaths and Marriages Registration Act 1996.'" You can check out the names here.

To bypass any crime, the couple decided to spell it differently. Rather than Saint, it is spelled Saynt. The reason why Saint is on the list is that it resembles an official rank or title that is recognized in Australia. Similar to Bishop, Duke, and Captian.

The couple recently moved to the United States where Tess is working on her acting career. She just landed a role in the new show, "The Rookie," starring alongside Nathan Fillion.
