You might think that a toddler wouldn’t have too many opinions because they’re so young. But, boy would you be wrong!
According to the American Psychological Association, children are receiving more nurturing as the family size is decreasing, which might contribute to a rise in overall IQ’s. Many accelerated preschool programs also allow toddlers to understand a lot more than we think.
If you’re not convinced that toddlers are getting smarter—you have to see these two toddlers engage in a very...passionate debate in the middle of lunch. The girls hilariously yell at each other for several minutes, very similar to the way that siblings do.
Even though we can’t understand them, they seem perfectly able to understand each other. They switch back and forth, yelling about whatever the issue is.
At one point, one of the girls turns away and plugs her ears while her friend is talking—something that I’m sure we’ve all wanted to do at times. Then the other girl turns away to take a drink—another avoidance tactic.
In the background, you can hear the moms laughing about the fight. Eventually, they decide it’s time to end it and they ask the girls to “Hug and kiss and makeup.” The girls—after getting their last few words in—stop fighting and hug.
Regardless of what it’s about, these darling girls sure do know how to argue. Check out the video here.
