The former NFL quarterback, now minor league baseball player, Tim Tebow, is starting off the season with a boom. Quite literally in fact.
Tebow's first at-bat against the Mets' Class A affiliate, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies (yes, that's their real name), was quite incredible. Tebow pulverized a three-run homer on the very first pitch.
What's even more fascinating about this story, is that Tebow did the same thing last year during his first at-bat against the Columbia Fireflies.
There's no denying Tebow's athletic abilities. As it was true in high school and college, NFL, and now on the baseball field, Tebow has proved time and time again that he can play pretty much any sport.

Tebow batted at a .226 last season for the Mets, with eight home runs, and 52 RBIs. The team is seeing some great improvements over the season, and the Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson believes "Tebow will play in the major leagues one day."
