Nevada Semi-Truck Crash Spills $800,000 of Dimes Near Las Vegas

May 09, 2018

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP), a semi-truck carrying $800,000 worth of dimes overturned on Interstate 15 outside of Las Vegas.

The NHP says the truck was heading south on I-15 when it hit a guardrail at 3:30 a.m. causing it to overturn.

The NHP says that the truck was hauling coins from the US Treasury Department.

Both the truck driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The truck driver was cited for failure to drive within marked lanes.

With 8 million dimes spread out through the desert, I bet the local authorities wished they had a special vacuum cleaner to clean up the costly mess.

Speaking of vacuum cleaners, watch this adorable toddler argue with his mother over her usage of their vacuum cleaner in the video below!
