Last Sunday, the Louisiana State Police has issued a Level 2 endangered missing child alert for a 10-year-old girl from Lake Providence.
Jazzmyne Taylor is described as a 10-year-old black female with long black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet, 10 inches, and weighs approximately 100 to 130 pounds. She usually wears her hair in a crocheted braids.
Jazzmyne was last seen on Easter Sunday at 1400 block of Second Street in Lake Providence, East Carroll Parish, Louisiana at about 3:00 p.m.
She was last wearing a gray and white striped short-sleeve shirt, with light blue jeans, and black Jordan tennis shoes. She was also carrying a glittery, pink backpack.
Authorities are questioning neighbors and family members and searching nearby containers and trash cans. They have also searched everywhere around her home.
On Monday, KAQY reporters said that police quickly left her home and were en route to another location. At that time, it was unclear where they were going.
At about 11:35 a.m. Monday, Jazzmyne appeared to be in the hands of the police. Reporters say that she is safe, however, it is unclear as to where she was this entire time. At noon, according to the state police, Jazzmyne has been located and found safe.
