Boxer and "Dancing with the Stars" contestant Victor Ortiz has been arrested after a woman went to the police and told them that Ortiz sexually assaulted her at her home in Oxnard, California, according to CNN.

On March 19, the woman came forward with the report. Ortiz's arrest warrant was issued after months of investigation.

On Tuesday, September 25, Ortiz, 31, turned himself in where he was charged with three counts of felony sexual assault, including rape. He was booked at the East County Jain in Ventura County. His bail was set at $100,000.

This arrest isn't Ortiz's first run-in with the law. In July 2015, according to ESPN, he was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after he was accused of assaulting a fan at a country music show in Pasadena. He pled guilty to the misdemeanor battery and was charged with three years' probation.

According to CNN, in September 2016, he was arrested after being pulled over with a 0.15 blood alcohol level. He pled guilty and was issued three months of probation.

The Garden City, Kansas native became a pro boxer when he was 17 years old and quickly gave himself a reputable name in the welterweight division. In 2011, he briefly held the World Boxing Council's welterweight title until a controversial fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. unfolded. During the fight, Ortiz head-butted Mayweather, but Mayweather landed two punches when Ortiz's hands were lowered, knocking him out in the fourth round, according to CNN.

When he's not in the ring, Ortiz appeared on the big screen. He had roles in movies such as "The Expendables," and "Southpaw."
