Chilling Video Shows Final Moments Before Helicopter Crashed into NYC's East River

A Video Journalist for "Business Insider," Trevor Cadigan, 26, was among the five passengers who died from the helicopter crash in New York City's East River late Sunday night.



Details are still emerging as to what caused the crash; however, the pilot, Richard Vance who survived, said that a passenger's bag hit the emergency fuel shutoff button.



According to Fox News, a video was posted on Instagram by Cadigan of the final moments just before the chopper plunged into the river. In the video, you can see everyone seems to be excited about their ride while giving the thumbs up.

"I don’t even have any words right now," Cadigan's mom, Nancy Cadigan said.


The other passengers on the helicopter who died were Carla Vallejos Blanco, a tourist from Argentina, Brian McDaniel, a firefighter from Dallas, Texas, and two other helicopter employees, Daniel Thomason and Tristan Hill.
