Many people have had that “not-so-nice” landlord. You know, the ones who comes knocking at your door at 12 a.m. on the 2nd of the month if you haven’t paid rent. (Can someone give me an ‘amen’?) Well this time, the tides have turned.
A Tampa, Florida judge is finally making one landlord pay up—an impressive $4 million to be exact. For 13 years, Pastor Nunez has been dodging fines on over 40 of his runned-down rentals.
Many of the properties are in need of desperate repair. Hillsborough County has had enough of his neglect and are finally making him account for his crimes.
When confronted by a news reporter, Nunez stated in a shaky but frantic voice, “Let em’ put me in jail, that’s what I would like them to do!”
Well Mr. Nunez, jail is what you might just get. Nunez now has 30 days to get his affairs in order and hire a good lawyer. And by golly, he is going to need it.
After Nunez mouthed off to the judge, the judge responds in a stern voice, “Let me tell you something, I don’t appreciate your mouth! Ok...you’re in a courtroom and you will respect this court or we’re going to have a contempt hearing, sir.”
Check out the full video below. Some of Mr. Nunez’s comments are quite comical. I mean come on dude, you knew what you were doing.
