Beloved TV Personality Lands Back In Hospital Due To ‘Complications.’ Cancels Plans To Return To Popular Show

January 21, 2019

2018 was a rough year for one popular television star, and it looks as though 2019 is not starting out much better. Multiple media outlets are reporting that the host of ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ Ms. Williams herself will NOT be returning to her popular talk show on January 14th as previously announced.

Over the past several months, Williams’ personal life has been the spotlight due to rumors of her husband’s alleged cheating, her fainting on-air, breaking her shoulder, and relapse of her Graves Disease.

Williams, whose show has been on the air for more than ten years, has been absent from the small screen time recently and is now reportedly taking an ‘extended leave’.

According to Page Six, “Williams, 54, fractured her shoulder in December and then began to worry fans when she slurred her words on-air. She later apologized and blamed the painkillers she was taking.

“Since then, Williams has delayed her show’s return twice. It was originally supposed to return shortly after the New Year but was pushed back to Jan. 14. The show pushed the return date again to Jan. 21 in order to allow Williams to heal and come back at “200%.”

Some people are questioning if it really is the medical condition keeping her away, considering the allegations of her husband’s alleged cheating that rose to the surface in recent months.

Nevertheless, Williams’ family issued an official statement to explain why her much-heralded return has, once again, been put on hold.

“As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend. Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment.

“Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital.

“Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being.

“Wendy thanks everyone in advance for their well-wishes and for respecting her and The Hunter Family’s privacy during this time.”

Please join us in praying that Wendy's troubles will soon be over and that we will be seeing her again on television very soon.
